After Grade 7, Bowen Island students attend Rockridge Secondary School (or another high school) in West Vancouver, and this means taking the school bus and the ferry to and from school. In this recent Facebook post (28 June 2019) a family considering a move to Bowen asked, "if anyone would be willing to share with me your experiences of the high school commute...?" Bowen Islanders have no problem sharing! The large majority suggested the inconvenience was well worth the experience of living on Bowen.
