The COVID-19 Seller Checklist prepared by the Real Estate Council of BC outlines the steps a REALTOR® can take to help manage the challenges related to COVID-19.

 Provide client with COVID-19 links and information from the appropriate authorities
 Assess your own risk with dealing with your client. Are they ill, or have they recently traveled?
 Have your client provide their own concerns about potential risk
 Provide options for your seller client

 Request health and recent travel information from potential buyers and their real estate professionals before any showings
 Create a marketing video showing a tour of the house to reduce the number of viewings
 Discuss with your seller client limiting viewings to serious buyers only (if the listing contract permits)
 Make viewings conditional on the use of gloves or hand sanitizer
 Clean all high traffic areas and surfaces before and after each showing
 Take precautions, including cleaning and sanitizing the home if the seller chooses to have an open house or home inspection
 Suspend viewings temporarily. Ensure this option is agreed to by your client and in writing
 Document all discussions in writing
