Why my background matters
My involvement with Bowen real estate began almost a decade before I became licensed.
Starting in 2008, I worked with local developers on design, marketing, and the sale of new homes — work that did not require a real estate licence, but gave me a practical education in Bowen properties, buyers, building decisions, zoning restrictions, local market expectations, and sales.
I became a licensed REALTOR® in 2017, and that earlier experience continues to shape how I advise clients today.
My background includes real estate, design, construction awareness, marketing, writing, local government, and community leadership. This combination helps me look at a property from more than one angle.
As a Bowen resident since 2005, I know the island as a place to live, not just a market to serve.
As a former municipal councillor, I bring a practical understanding of local process, bylaws, planning conversations, and the importance of proper due diligence.
With experience in architecture and design, I can help clients think through layout, presentation, renovation potential, and whether a home really fits the way they want to live.
Through my regular Stats on Bowen market reports, I pay close attention to the numbers — but always with context. Bowen is a micro-market, and the raw data rarely tells the whole story on its own.
For roughly a decade, I also served as president of the Bowen Island Health Centre Foundation, helping lead the effort to bring a long-needed health centre to the island.
This work reinforced something I already believed: Bowen works best when people show up for one another.
His connection to the island is unmatched.
